Cool post title design at cfTopper

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

cfTopper has the coolest design for post titles that I think I’ve ever seen. He has the post title with a reflection close underneath. Take a look:

cfTopper post title example

I tried to get an idea of how he does it by using Firefox Web Developer and Firebug, and it seems that it’s a mixture of Javascript and Flash.

Whatever it is, it’s pretty. Check out cfTopper to see it in action (and to learn about ColdFusion if you’re interested!).

How to Protect CSS Mods for ANY WordPress Theme

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

From Pearsonified:

What you need, my friend, is a futureproof, bulletproof means of protecting your CSS mods so that you can ride the wave of agile development without the associated headache from upgrading!

Never touch the original stylesheet again — it’s just not the most secure, most efficient method of operation! On top of that, it would be nearly impossible for you to go through a stylesheet that you’ve hacked up and pinpoint each and every little thing you’ve changed.
